The grinding force of magnetic stainless steel needles is directly proportional to their thickness: thicker needles deliver stronger grinding power. When selecting the appropriate needle, the hardness of the workpiece material is the primary consideration:
- For hard materials such as stainless steel or iron: Choose needles with a diameter of 0.8mm or larger
- For soft materials such as copper, aluminum, or zinc: Choose needles with a diameter of less than 0.8mm
Additionally, the magnetic strength of the grinding machine and its stepless adjustability (if available) will also influence the grinding effect. We recommend conducting a few test runs to determine the optimal needle specification for your specific application.
The pore size and gap dimensions of the workpiece determine the ideal thickness and length of the needles:
- For grinding internal holes or narrow gaps of workpieces, 3mm-long needles are highly recommended for superior results.
