Performance Characteristics and Core Advantages
This equipment is a basic high-efficiency centrifugal barrel finishing machine with an attractive appearance, compact structure, easy operation and a wide speed adjustment range. It operates stably and with low noise, and its grinding efficiency is 50% higher than that of traditional equipment.
The transmission system is equipped with four sets of pentagonal barrels. When the motor drives the large turntable to revolve, the barrels rotate in the reverse direction under the action of the gear set. The workpieces and abrasives generate strong friction under the action of dual centrifugal force, efficiently and uniformly completing processes such as chamfering, deburring and polishing.
The barrel body is made of steel plate with a replaceable polyurethane inner liner, which is wear-resistant, durable and low in replacement cost; the barrel rotation adopts MC nylon gear transmission with a long service life, suitable for the finishing processing of conventional metal parts.
The barrel features a fully enclosed design and supports customized partitioned inner liners with anti-collision functions, making it especially suitable for the processing of small-batch, multi-variety, ultra-thin and ultra-fine parts. It can process precision components that cannot be handled by vibratory or flow-type finishing machines, with uniform grinding results and no damage to workpieces.

Equipment Structure and Working Principle
(1) Overall Structure
- It is composed of five core components: an upper cover, a base, a barrel turntable assembly, an electrical cabinet and a material receiving tank. Adopting a modular design, it is easy to disassemble and assemble with low maintenance costs.
- Upper Cover: Welded with steel plate, it is equipped with ventilation shutters at both ends and an openable protective sliding door at the front, with a built-in travel switch that cuts off the power automatically when the door is opened, ensuring operational safety from the source.
- Base: Adopting a steel plate stamping structure, a motor mounting plate is installed on the channel steel at the bottom and can move up and down along the screw rod for easy adjustment of motor belt tension; the upper part bears the barrel turntable assembly and the upper cover, a barrel tilting mechanism is installed on the inner right side, and a forward-inclined material receiving tank is equipped in the middle with a movable insert plate at the front, which can realize efficient water-material separation (drain first, then discharge).
- Barrel Turntable Assembly: Including a pulley, a large turntable, a fixed main shaft, a sleeve, a nylon gear centrifugal barrel set and a tilting mechanism. The barrel is equipped with a detachable polyurethane inner liner, which can be replaced by removing the pressure plate; the upper opening of the inner liner is flattened to ensure a good water sealing effect, and the barrel opening adopts a snap-on cover with tight sealing and no water leakage after locking.
- Electrical Cabinet: Made of cold-rolled steel plate, it is a built-in structure on the lower right side of the base with dust and water resistance to effectively protect electrical components.
(2) Working Principle
The motor drives the large turntable to revolve, and drives four sets of barrels to rotate synchronously and at a constant speed in the reverse direction through gear set meshing transmission. Under the action of dual centrifugal force generated by revolution and rotation, the workpieces and abrasives in the barrels form high-density and high-force relative friction and grinding, replacing the traditional manual polishing. It realizes integrated finishing processing of chamfering, deburring and polishing with high processing uniformity, no workpiece deformation and no scratches.
Electrical System Features
Equipped with an internationally renowned frequency converter, it can adjust the barrel turntable speed arbitrarily, accurately adapting to the grinding speed requirements of workpieces of different materials and specifications with flexible and smooth speed regulation.
The electric control box panel is equipped with jog control buttons, which can realize the forward jog of the large turntable and the two-way jog of the barrel set to adjust the barrel position as needed, featuring easy operation.
A two-way travel switch interlock circuit is set up for safety: when the protective sliding door is closed and the main machine is running, the turntable jog and barrel tilting mechanism are automatically powered off and inoperable; when the protective sliding door is opened and the main machine is stopped, the relevant mechanisms are powered on for jog operation, and the processed workpieces and abrasives can be poured into the material receiving tank by tilting the barrel set. This safety interlock design fundamentally eliminates the risk of misoperation.
Equipment Installation and Adjustment
(1) Installation Requirements
1.The equipment shall be placed on a horizontal concrete floor with all four feet fully padded to prevent vibration and displacement during operation.
2.Test the insulation resistance of the motor winding with a 500V megohmmeter, with the resistance value not less than 0.38MΩ. If the standard is not met, the motor must be dried before power-on.
3.Connect to a 380V industrial power supply, confirm that the barrel turntable rotates clockwise (forward rotation) from the top view from the perspective of the cabinet door, and connect the ground wire reliably to achieve effective grounding protection.
(2) Regular Adjustment
1.After the equipment has been in operation for a period of time, check the tightness of the motor belt and adjust it accurately through the adjusting screw of the motor mounting plate to ensure transmission efficiency.
2.Regularly check the tightness of the barrel tilting chain, and adjust the chain by moving the position of the reducer bracket to avoid slipping due to loose chain or wear due to over-tightening.
Operation Procedures and Daily Maintenance
(1) Operation Steps
1.Adjust the barrel to a suitable forward tilting position (the upper opening tilts 15° forward) with the jog switch, loosen the snap with an inner sleeve wrench and remove the barrel cover.
2.The workpieces shall be degreased in advance. Load workpieces and abrasives into the barrel at a ratio of 1:2 with the loading volume accounting for 70% of the barrel volume, add an appropriate amount of grinding agent and clean water (the water surface submerges the workpieces and abrasives), then fasten and seal the barrel cover tightly.
3.The equipment must be shut down after 90 minutes of continuous grinding, and the clean water in the barrel shall be drained and replaced for cooling to prevent the inner liner from aging and damage due to high temperature.
(2) Daily Maintenance
1.After the equipment has been in operation for 500 hours, add ZL-3 calcium-based bearing grease to all bearings to ensure smooth operation.
2.Check the tightness of the motor belt and tilting chain every day, and adjust them in a timely manner if any abnormality is found to avoid transmission failures.
3.When installing the barrel lock rod, ensure that the rod end is fully inserted into the lock hole before pressing tightly; if poor sealing is found, adjust the positioning screws at both ends of the barrel in a timely manner to make the eccentric lock rod seal the barrel cover tightly and prevent water leakage.
4.If abnormal noise occurs during equipment operation, stop the machine immediately to check for loose bolts or damaged bearings, and replace damaged bearings in a timely manner to avoid greater mechanical damage.

It is suitable for the finishing processing of conventional metal parts (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, etc.) in industries such as hardware, electronics, auto parts and precision machinery. Specially designed for the small-batch, multi-variety processing of ultra-thin, ultra-fine and special-shaped parts, it can complete chamfering, deburring and surface polishing processes, and has a particularly significant processing effect on precision parts with poor processing results by vibratory finishing machines.
