Structure & Working Principle

 

(1) Overall Structure

Lightweight and compact design, composed of a light cold-rolled steel upper cover, energy-saving stamping base, lightweight barrel turntable assembly, mini dust-proof electrical cabinet, and small receiving tank. All components are optimized for lightweight, easy disassembly, flexible movement and low later maintenance cost.

  • Upper Cover: Made of thin high-strength cold-rolled steel with electrostatic plastic spraying (scratch & rust resistant); magnetic suction protective pull door with built-in micro travel switch (power off when door opens); detachable fine-hole ventilation shutters to prevent micro abrasives from escaping.
  • Base: Integrally stamped steel (light weight, strong load-bearing); non-slip shock-absorbing foot pads (no ground fixing required); single-screw fine-tuning motor fixing plate for easy belt tension adjustment; detachable small receiving tank with simple water filter for preliminary water-material separation.
  • Barrel Turntable Assembly: Aluminum die-cast large turntable (deformation-resistant, lightweight); quick-press barrel cover (no wrench needed, 50% higher loading/unloading efficiency); clamp-on PU inner barrel (pull-out replacement without dismounting pressure plates).
  • Electrical Cabinet: Mini wall-mounted design (space-saving), IP54 dustproof & waterproof, built-in small heat sink for stable electrical component operation.

 

(2) Working Principle

Adopts the "Low-speed Revolution + Gentle Autorotation" grinding principle. The 15KW energy-saving motor drives the aluminum large turntable for low-speed revolution via a light pulley, and drives 4 groups of barrels for reverse gentle autorotation through the precision nylon gear set, forming a mild dual centrifugal force.Workpieces and abrasives in the barrel form a low-density uniform grinding area under centrifugal force. Abrasives friction the workpiece surface gently and without dead angles, removing burrs and chamfering while maximizing part dimensional accuracy and surface finish-especially suitable for finishing miniature, ultra-thin and easily deformable parts.

 

Electrical System Features

 

  • Equipped with a special energy-saving inverter for soft start/stop, effectively reducing motor starting current, cutting power loss and equipment impact.
  • Simple control panel: speed knob, inching switch, emergency stop button, easy for new operators to master.
  • Basic safety interlock circuit: protective pull door interlocks with the main machine and inching switch (main machine cannot start / inching switch fails when door opens).
  • Motor under-voltage protection: automatic shutdown when voltage is unstable, protecting the motor from damage (adaptable to workshops with large voltage fluctuations).

 

Installation & Adjustment

 

(1) Installation Requirements
1.Place the machine on a flat, hard cement/terrazzo floor (no fixing needed); compress the non-slip shock-absorbing foot pads to ensure no shaking.
2.Test motor winding insulation resistance with a 500V megohmmeter (resistance ≥ 0.38 MΩ; dry the motor if insulation is unqualified before power-on).
3.Connect 380V three-phase industrial power and ground wire; confirm the barrel turntable rotates clockwise (top view); test run for 3 minutes without load-put into use if no abnormal noise.


(2) Later Adjustment
1.After 1000 hours of operation, check belt tension via the single-screw fine-tuning structure (1–2cm belt looseness when pressed is optimal).
2.Adjust micro positioning screws on both sides of the barrel to compress the seal ring if slight leakage occurs at the barrel cover.

 

Operation & Maintenance

 

(1) Operation Steps
1.Turn on the power, press the inching switch to adjust the barrel to 10° forward, then unlock and open the barrel cover quickly.
2.Clean workpieces in advance; load workpieces and abrasives at a ratio of 1:3 (filling 60%–65% of barrel volume), add proper precision grinding fluid and deionized water (just submerge workpieces and abrasives), then fasten the barrel cover tightly.
3.Adjust to the target speed and start the machine; stop for cooling after continuous grinding for 80 minutes to prevent high-temperature aging of the inner PU barrel.
4.After grinding, stop the machine and adjust the barrel to the unloading position via inching; pour workpieces and abrasives into the receiving tank and separate grinding fluid with the filter screen.


(2) Daily Maintenance
1.After 800 hours of operation, fill ZL-3 calcium-based bearing grease to each bearing (fill 1/2 of the bearing clearance).
2.Clean the barrel interior and receiving tank with clean water daily, dry the inner barrel to avoid corrosion from residual grinding fluid; regularly check the seal ring of the press-type cover and replace it if aged/damaged.
3.Check motor belt wear weekly (replace if cracked or tooth-missing); clean dust inside the electrical cabinet monthly and check for loose wiring terminals.
4.Stop immediately if slight abnormal noise occurs; tighten loose bolts, and replace bearings promptly if bearing noise is detected.
